Greeted by burning oil drums and midgets in pedal-cars on the drive in, all the guests soon appreciated that zany is a word alongside elite, luxurious, fun and fast that should be well associated with Cannonball Run Russia when the event leaves Moscow on 14th June this year.
Once through security and inside Gaz Galleria, Guests enjoyed sharing in the top-end of luxury as Vertu mobile communications showcased their latest range of dazzling phones (the very same phone brand that has proved such a hit at events such as Millionaire’s Fair).
Meantime, Lamborghini and Maserati shared honours on the central stage and Kauffman premium vodka ensured that lips were suitably wetted.Titillated by the static displays, Moscow’s elite were then enthralled by a launch show hosted by one of MTV’s most famous Russian Master of Ceremony’s Alexander Anatolyevitch.
Acrobatic girls dressed from head to foot in black, including full-face balaclavas, dropped onto the stage in a scene reminiscent of ‘Mission Impossible’ before ripping off their jump-suits to reveal Bikinis and denim shorts as they became the ‘car wash girls’ dance troop – a scene to be repeated in Samara during Cannonball Run Russia as similarly attired girls will wash competitors cars.
Alexander Anatolyevitch then detailed what Cannonball Run Russia is all about with a humorous storyline featuring a Tom Cruise look-a-like before the guest DJ from Hed Kandi in London - Andy Warburton - brought top flight European sounds to the heart of Russia into the early hours.
